A Review Of The MacBook Air

by Claire Greenway

The MacBook Air by Apple is one of those laptops that everyone desires, mostly due to its simple sexiness!

The MacBook Air probably has the slickest design of any laptop on the planet. As highlighted on the advertising campaigns, this laptop is thin enough to fit in a manila envelope!

The Air’s keyboard is better than any other keyboard I’ve ever seen on a laptop. The separate keys make making
typing errors very much unlikely. On most other laptops, the keys aren’t separated and so a simple sliding of the finger can lead to a mistake. That’s what I love about this laptop.

The 13-inch LED screeb surprises me. The screen is really energy efficient, unlike others on different laptops that use a backlight and therefore more power.

The efficient screen produces vibrant, high quality, bright and sharp displays, which you wouldn’t expect on a screen size this small.

On the negative side, the MacBook Air is only manufactured with a glossy screen, so working outdoors with this laptop will be a bit of a problem.

Being extremely small, the Air doesn’t have sufficient space to hold larger components such as a disc drive, or even a full-sized USB port. To overcome this, there is an adapter that will fit to a full-sized USB port and a sleek external disc drive that sits nicely beside the laptop when you need it.

Like all Apple computers, the Air runs the Leopard operating system. The only changes that have been made to it are to make better use of the touch pad on the laptop. The MacBook Air supports multi-touch hand generations to perform certain actions,
such as a three-finger swipe to go forwards or backwards in the default internet browser, Safari.

All in all, the Air’s OS is just like it is on all Apple products; beautiful, functional and very easy to use.

The MacBook Air is a beautiful piece of tech. On the downside, it’ll cost you in excess of $1500. If you are
desperately in need of a new sexy laptop, and this is in your price range, get it! Of course, if your budget isn’t so high, it probably would be better for you to get another make of laptop insteadof this rather pricey Apple product.
